I believe "Happy Birthday" is in order for yourself, too :)

Superb models, those. We had one similar in the early 2000s and it lasted almost 10 years before it was sold due to a house move.

Thank you, it is indeed my birthday. To be honest I'm looking forward to Friday (payday) 10x more though, today is just another day.

I'm glad to be 20 though, I couldn't stand the term "teenager" and being associated with that age group.

I used one of Stoney's guides to put something in the Focus yesterday - a small mod

Which mod was that?

The ST Mk 2.5 ash tray with lit aux power socket in the centre console, instead of OEM cubby hole with unlit aux power socket

Mine's on it's third set of bearings and second water inlet solenoids but everything else is original :)

Only 20! :o

You come across a lot older and wiser than 20; I thought you'd be about 27-30!

Sounds a bit like triggers brush

No, my DC01 is more like Triggers Brush: everything has been changed at least once, apart from the inner chassis :D

Hence why I hated being a "teenager" as it counteracted my wisdom

That's one thing I can't stand about modern cars is the lack of an ashtray. I don't smoke in the car but having an ashtray makes me feel much more at ease. Hard to understand, but it makes sense to me.

Plus, you can fill it with mints etc...

My Mum's Mk1 Zetec has a nicely placed deep ash tray, which she keeps her car park change and, like you, mints in

The Mk2 position can be a bit awkward to use, if you're gear 1, 3 or 5, as the gear stick is in the way: just need to drop into 2, 4 or R, for a full aperture :) However, it's a vast improvement on the Upol filler tin lid, that I had balanced in the cubby hole :)

Oh I loved the Focus (MK1) ashtray which was just to the left of the steering wheel, at arm level.

Lol, glad I'm not the only one that thought you were much older!

20 is still young enough to be an immature teenager though, don't waste that chance, I'm heading towards an elderly 24 now and have definitely missed it. :( Everyone I know is getting married and/or having babies...

My parents used to have 1950's Electrolux cylinder, in regular use until the start of this century, can't remember the model though.

After extensive Googling, I've found it on ebay, well an identical model, still has it's wooden box too
