My dad had them put on 4 tyres (Motability car), went from Continental Sport Contact's to some random tyres that had less grip than the Continental's which had 2 on the limit. Yet charged Motability more than what the Continental's were worth... The tyres were worth about £30 each.

That's exactly how my Dad's Volvo got a cracked head and damaged manifold. Kwik Fit gets (sadly) awarded these big service contracts and then rips them off.

It was a company car, and the lease company had contracted Kwik Fit to do their exhausts. Kwik Fit decided not fit a proper Volvo exhaust but bodge, with aid of many hammers, it seemed, a budget exhaust. The lease company, like Motability were invoiced for many times over, what a genuine Volvo one would have cost. Kwik Fit thought they'd got away with that - both my Dad's company and lease company thought otherwise.

It went to court - Kwik Fit lost. :) and had to pay not only for the damage they'd caused, but were ordered to pay all costs :D
