Why do my brakes squeek

Hi Alan, my 1998 fiesta does the same! I got it secondhand and it has always had squeeky brakes but it still gets through MOT's with my local garage saying that it is not a problem. No Worry, I guess.

Get the hose pipe on them and just give the inside of the wheels a blast. When you drive, then break, the squeeking should stop but it comes back once they have dried. Pads will need a little TLC

the calipers require lubrication,usually copper slip is applied also to the rear of the pads.
