Featured Replies

Hi

Mwhat bulb do I need for interior in my fiesta 1.6 tdci s 57 plate

If I remember correctly I had a 42mm festoon bulb although mine was a pre-facelight without the mapping lights so may be different.

And what kind of bulb goes to boot? Same as interior ?

And what kind of bulb goes to boot? Same as interior ?

Yeah, same with the sidelights

I'd recommend buying an LED 501 for the boot light or installing multiple as i have in my build log. the one factory boot light is appalling

My fiesta has

38mm reg light bulbs

42mm festoon bulb

small bayonet things for Maplights, although ive replaced these with small curled up LED strips

That is exactly what I ordered http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/120695320468

So I can use one for interior one for boot :)

What sort of bulbs and how to fit under steering wheel I saw people have ite

Do you have the bulb holders in place? If not, run a feed from the interior light bulb holder & install LED strips of your choice :)

How will it work ? When I open doors only ? Or how will it work ?

That depends how you wire it.

If you wire it to the switched earth (door open) and the +12 then they'll only come on when you open the door

If you wire them to the Constant earth & 12v+ then they'll be on all the time until the battery saver relay kicks in after 20 minutes of the car being locked. I've wired my self dimming mirror to this feed.

If you wire it to the bulbholder, they will come on anytime your interior light is on, regardless of whether you switch it on or open the doors :)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/291306316790 Are these good ? But only 30 cm length of cable

Feed the wire from the bulb holder, through the headlining, down the pillar, behind the door seal & then you're there

Get some DRLs. The solid rectangular self adhesive COB SMD ones. Much wider light pattern & they're brighter if you want to add colour then order some Lee filters gel. I can advise you on numbers

These ones are UK EBay 201359323472

These are the ones I ordered from China & work perfectly. same thing.

EBay 351500071807

It may seem like a faff, but I've tried strips in the car before and they were horrendous. bad light output & unreliable. So I use DRLs in the front & solid aluminium mounted strips under the seats for the rear

Bought yestrday new tyre front left do I need to buy the right one is well it is still ok my friend told me it can damage thinks like bearing etc if you have one new one part worn

You'll need about 3 metres a side ideally so you've slack.

Mixing tyres won't do any damage as long as they're the same size. Ideally you shouldn't mix tyres on the same axle as their tread pattern may be different resulting in grip issues. I believe mixing tyre makes/models is an MOT failure? Or an advisory atleast. Your insurance may well use it as an excuse not to pay out too

Will get the other one today, as for the cable I need to buy it seperate or it comes with the lights ? Please send me link for cable if needed to buy seperate

You can just use cheap (not too cheap) Speaker cable as the LEDs draw minimul current :)
