Whats In The Boot.

Featured Replies

I do not change my car unless I have to. So I bought a Fiesta 2014 1.5 tdci all well so far. On closer inspection of the boot and the puncture repair things (no spare wheel) I seem to have very little in there. There is a large preformed polystyrene type mould with lots of indents for nice things but only 1 item in residence which is the inflator with the repair stuff inside. Anyone know what I should have in total.

You should have an inflator and a can of sealant. I also keep my alloy key in there but that's about it!

Mine had the fuel tank nozzle which a lot people don't seem to have which you'll need if you plan on adding any additives to your fuel. (Not required with premium diesel and bp/shell etc but if your filling up with with supermarket diesel regular then maybe worth using an additive every few tanks). There fitted with a locking mechanism which only the correct diameter petrol/diesel nozzle etc will open

If you've not got one maybe ask your dealer to give you one when next in (just say it wasn't there) otherwise if your ever buying anything from ford parts uk they have them for 2-3 pound.

Thinks that all mine had though: the compressor, the tyre sealant, and the plastic tank nozzle.

I just had a jack and the wrench, and also the locking wheel nut key. Spare wheel too

Oh I forgot I have a plastic filling nozzle too!!

Having read your replies I realise I only have the sealant no inflator so I will ask them for this. What happened to the good ol days spare wheel, jack, brace, bale of hay.

Plastic tank nozzle I don't have one of these either.

My dealer is good so I will see him Wednesday with my list of 2 items.

Thanks for inputs

regards all

Recovery hook.

Got the spare and a reflective jacket, can never be to sure

Had the misfortune to drive through Cosmo City - my God it was scary

Foot pump, Oil, spare wheel, torch, first-aid kit and a few other things!

Mine came with a spare wheel and jack already in it - I guess I was one of the lucky ones!

Having a wheel and the repair kit is a good idea who wants to be faffing around on a wet night with jack, wheel brace etc. But if you should be unlucky enough to hava bad leak then you have the wheel. I don't remember having a puncture although I did have a slow leak once. NO comments please. I like the cut down basket for the kit. Roll up Water Proof coat maybe.

Got the sales rep to swap my spare from my old car there is no way I was going to buy one. Apart from the wheel etc. Polish screen wash cleaning rags spare shopping bags and a body bag. There's no way I am digging up my patio

Well if you driving through Cosmo City then you are asking for it, I live in the Western Cape one of 12 Provinces and the Western Cape Province is larger than the hole of Germany just to give you an idea, so yes in SA don't leave your car keys in the ignition and expect to see the car in the same spot in the morning, but depending were you live it can be safe or not, just like the rest of the world, apart from our Politicians, most crimes are petty crimes, as for the spare it came with the car and the distance between our town can be 300+ km so you don't want to be stuck with a spray can hoping it will hold

Mine was specced to come with the space saver spare wheel, which it does, and the tool kit / jack / fuel nozzle come as standard with it.

Also in the boot though I have my massive 500w alpine sub, cat food for the work stray, multiple cans of soda also for work, my college card and lanyard, multiple bits of paper and about 2 carrier bags. Oh and about a hoover bags worth of dirt as it needs hoovering in there quite badly now (hasn't been done since last summer )
