Tdci engine management light on.

Hi all I have a 1.6 tdci and the engine management light comes on and turbo won't work. When car is turned off for a while it corrects itself and runs ok for a while. I have replaced the maf sensor which computer told me the problem was but it still doing it. Just paid 90 quid for the sensor too. Any ideas anyone. I have had the car full serviced and terra cleaned . It was doing it before I did this hough. Help
