Central Locking Not Working Properly... Help Please...!!

Featured Replies

Right. I have queried this issue before but have never managed to get it sorted.

I own a 2007/8 Mk6 Fiesta 1.4TDCI but the central locking doesn't work as it should.

When trying to lock the car it rarely locks or unlocks when it shouldn't. This is exactly the same if using either the remote control key fob or turning the key manually.

I have since found out from doing the GEM 'self test', shown in the attachment, that the fault lies within the drivers front door central locking mechanism or wiring. I have been trying desperately to find a replacement unit but have been unable to find the correct part. Can anyone advise how I can find the correct part for my vehicle? Why do Ford make things so difficult?
