Was wondering if anyone had ever had the Ford Convenience Check:

It says they connect a diagnostic tool to download software updates as part of this, which I'm guessing will be ECU updates? Was thinking of booking one for this but I'm guessing if software updates are available these will be extra on top?

    as you will see , its only avaliable for vehicles with 2 year service intervals , its an optional check at 12 months and has been introduced to enable the 12 month aa cover to be issued basicaly.thats my take on it.

    Yeah in the T&Cs it says service only provided for vehicles with a 2 year service interval. Rats, I was quite looking forward to a free ECU update on my Focus :(

    Missed that bit at the bottom about it being for cars with 2year service interval. Never mind then
