Re-mapping Red edition?

Featured Replies

Plans for my 1.0 125ps performance wise..

stage 2 AS induction kit (done)

Airtec Intercooler

Custom stainless exhaust with sports cat

REVO Stage 2 Remap

180bhp

In terms of reliability I'm aware of how long pumaspeed have ran their 205bhp, and also how long REVO have been developing this remap without issues. Stoneacre have agreed not to terminate the warranty but they've said any parts that aren't original won't be covered which is both obvious & fair to me

I thought the 205bhp map was just for the 140ps?

Nope, its available for all of the variants as I wasn't 100% sure so spoke to pumaspeed

I don't fancy playing with hybrid turbos yet/on this car so I'm sticking with 180.

The revo map also has different modes. the modes I'll be going for are

"Regular" (as close to stock power as is possible without running bad)

95 Oct regular boost

97 Oct regular boost

Antitheft (engine will start then die)

Valet mode - low low boost & limited revs, all though this won't be used as I obviously care for the car myself.. and it won't be used for services as it'll be set to "regular"

  • Nothing you can do to the 140 will be warranty friendly so it's all at your own risk.

  • The mountune MR165 WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. Hence the R for racing. I think your dealer needs to re-check their facts. Only the MP135 is warranty friendly and that does not apply to the 140.

  • Dealer can fit anything you ask them to, doesn't mean it will not void warranty. I have had my dealer fit aftermarket stuff, they don't care. I'd want a letter from your dealer to say they w

Yeah, 205bhp requires forged pistons & rods, hybrid turbo & plenty of other bits & Bob's

my old mazda required forged rods and pistons after 350hp, thats why i stopped at 320. after forging though you could get up to 500+

Forging makes such a huge difference.. by the sounds of it, VXRs should have a forged piston 4 from the factory! Hahaha

I'm hoping that Ford pull through and launch the fiesta RS. If they do, the zetec S is going and my name is going down for an RS! :)

it still amazes me you can get 205hp out of that exhaust manifold hole the size of a 50p

I'm keeping hold of the 1.0 for fuel economy/fun balance. If Ford launch the fiesta RS my name's going down though 😂😂

I'm 19. The rs insurance would have to be on my life and my parents house for them to let me drive ones

I'm 18 with a years no claims. Always have & always will have my own policy. .. you'd be shocked how low quotes I've had for a focus RS... I can only assume the fiesta would be similar

Equivalent fiesta are always more expensive to insure normally

I got quoted cheaper on a 1.0 zetec S fiesta than a focus zetec S 1.0! Hence why I got the fiesta

Strange world is insurance
