Advice required!

Last night I played a football match and flung some clothes into the boot of my focus.

I got home and tried to open the boot with the key but no joy. The central locking doesn't work (going to replace battery) and the release from the dash doesn't seem to do anything. I collapsed the back sides and can see that a jumper is tangled with the latch. I have pulled on the jumper and freed it slightly but it still is jammed.
