Focus mk2 1.6tdci engine noise and top end leak

Featured Replies

Hi

Not sure if this is in the right place or not. I've bought myself a mk2 focus 1.6 tdci, great car. My car has a engine noise after a little bit of running. as soon as the oil pressure light goes off the noise goes. After about 15 minutes of running the engine sounds like a bag of spanners. sounds very tapety to say the least. It's had regular services and the last oil change was about 1000 miles ago. After the last oil change the noise wasn't no where near as bad.

Secondly there is a bit of an oil leak around the cam shaft case/injector seals. There's quite a puddle of oil sitting around this area. is this an easy fix?

Are these common issues with the engine?

Thanks for any advice anyone can give

One common problem on the 1.6TDCi engine is leaking injectors.
