empty rubber tube under my bonnet

Featured Replies

I have a ford focus 1.8 zetec 58 plate and under the bonnet behind the engine looks like a rubber tube goes up into something at the centre of the windscreen but the other end isn't attached to anything its pinned in down and pinned along sideways the other end looks like it should be going to something but isn't is this normal ? thanks

Could be a tube to let water out from under the scuttle so it runs down the bulkhead? Must have a look at mine to see. ( I had a rubber tube on the bulkhead of a Vauxhall I had so if it's the same I'd suggest making sure it's kept clear as it was common for it to 'sludge up' and when it rained, the water would find its way into the cabin! )

update: checked ours but can't see anything.....

Russ is right, drain tube, this tube that runs horizontal to the left.
