Please help.... I have a 2011 focus zetec. 

 Last night the car alarm sounded but the button on the key fob wouldn't turn it off. I deactivated it by locking the door manually with the key. Now the key won't start  or lock\ unlock the car. The battery in the fob was due to be changed which I have done this morning.

    Have you checked the battery in the car? Some alarms will sound if the battery voltage drops below a certain point (and would explain the no start, no central locking issue).
