MONDEO TITANIUM X 2011 MP3 ISSUE

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help. My Dad has just purchased a used black 2011 Titanium X Mondeo. The stereo in the car seems good and we've tried the DAB, memory stick and CD player to make sure it all works. However we are having issues when plugging in an iPhone to play back music through the car. The slot is in the glove compartment and we've connected the phone via it with an Apple charger lead.  The issue is that when we connect the phone to the car via the portal the car indeed see's the phone on the display via the AUX button and shows the music titles and indeed appears to be playing. But there is now sound. The sound buttons on the phone also stop working. We've tried it with both my phone and my Dad's and it doesn't register any sound.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is stopping the sound through the car speakers? It may be something simple but I'm stuck as to what could be causing the issue seeing as the car shows the music being played on the display!

Any help much appreciated.

Paul
