screen wash pump switch

Featured Replies

Sometimes the switch for the screen wash/wiper stops working and just the wipers work, there is no pump sound, no matter how many times you press and wiggle the button, next day or later in the day it works again . any Ideas ? is there a simple fix ?

If the wipers start when the switch is pressed, it is not the switch.

What about rear wash/wipe (if fitted)?

Sounds like a dodgy motor or connector.

I would start from the pump & work back. There is a connector near the pump, then there is C79, a 6 way connector for headlamp wash & screenwash, so probably lurking down below the headlamps somewhere, then it is back to the Passenger Fuse Box at C96, and into the GEM (or BCM, the body control electronic module). But it may not be very easy to find, or to get at.
