No Line In jack on latest Focus Titanium

Featured Replies

Hi,

My new Focus Titanium is not fitted with a line in jack. It has USB SD card etc. but not line in and my wife likes to use her ipod classic via the line in jack. I've tried a bluetooth adapter and tried to connect that to the sync 2 system but it failed to pair. Does anyone have any suggestions how I could get her ipod connected via a line in or adapter etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Dor

Are you sure?

I'm certain mine has one in the arm rest. Can't check till 5:30pm though.

EDIT:

Just seen you are from Dublin, perhaps the Irish spec omits the line-in? Not sure why though....

Have you tried plugging it in via USB?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes. There is none. Under the armrest there is only a USB and SD card.

Can use the USB but all the control of the ipod goes to the sync 2 screen and my wife prefers to use the actual wheel on the ipod.

Hence looking for some way to add line in jack capability

The only way to add a line in jack would be to replace the module with one that includes it.

It would probably need programming in to.

Otherwise what about using bluetooth audio, or an FM transmitter?

Thanks.

Tried using a Bluetooth trsmitter but it wouln't pair.

Probably a good fm transmitter might be best.

Dealer where I bought it no real help at all.

Will try an FM.

Thanks again

Hi George

I have just checked in my 16 plate Focus Tit and there is a line in connection in the arm rest, adjacent to the SD card and usb socket.

Thank you all for you replies.

Will get an FM transmitter. I think it is the only option left.
