Hi all I'm thinking of buying a Ford Focus 05 plate, as far as I know there's 90.000 miles on the clock and no history of having the timing belt changed. When would you recommend I have it changed if I was to buy it.

    If you buy it then you must have the timing belt replaced right away, alternative is don't change it but a day, week , month or year will go by and you could be stuck with a new car with a !Removed! engine that requires a replacement or a car that is good as scrap

    It's interval 10 years or 100k miles - whichever comes first so it's overdue if it hasn't been done already.
