New-to-me Mondeo

Featured Replies

Just got meself a 2007 Mondeo Edge 2.0 Tdci 115bhp. I pick it up this evening. I imagine it must be one of the very last of the Mk3 cars. It's 1 owner from new with 87k miles, all MOT certificates, full MOT last week, full service history and 4 brand new tyres. Bodywork and interior are excellent. The colour is a nice one, apparently it's called Blue Ambition. I like it, I'm fed up driving silver cars so anything different is a good thing for me.

I paid £1050 for it so I think I got a decent deal for a car in such excellent condition. The Edge model appears to be fairly decent spec although the seats are cloth. Hey ho, you can't have everything for that kinda money!

Any thoughts on whether I've made a decent call anyone!

Seems pretty a good deal as long as no annoying rattles suddenly appear which turn out to do damage to your wallet.

Well I got it tonight and drove it 75 miles home. No squeaks or rattles, very smooth car indeed.

One fault......the cruise control isn't working on the steering wheel. The on-off buttons on the left do nothing and the set-plus and minus buttons on the right do nothing either. There is no cruise control light coming on in the dash either. The horn works though!

Is this likely to be a fuse problem (and if so which one and where is it) or is something else playing up maybe!

Good buy by the looks of it!

If you need a copy of the owners handbook, you can download them from the Ford website

Also look it up on Ford ETIS. That'll tell you what it left the factory with. It's possible that it's not the original wheel...but I am getting a bit drastic there lol

The car looks good from the picture. Only time will tell if its a gud un.

You could always contact the person you bought it from regarding the Cruise control.

Glad to know the horn works lol

Is the cruise control failure a common fault. If so, what tends to be the most common reason for failure.
