2.0 Mondeo TITX Sport issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I purchased a 10-plate mk4 model TITX Sport back in May. After having a problem with the Dualmass fly wheel and clutch going within the first month of ownership I have now found another small issue.

This time I would like your advice and suggestions as to the possible cause of the 'fault' and wondered if anyone else has had the same problem in the past?

Firstly,  it seems that there is white smoke from the exhaust when I accelerate. I have only found this out from a friend who was following me and cannot see anything noticable by using my mirrors.

I have noticed that the turbo used to spool and kick in instantly once you tapped the accelerator, now in 4,5 and 6gears seems non existent making the car feel more like a standard diesel.

I have checked my oil for signs of moisture but cannot detect anything possibly ruling out the head gasket.

Has anybody else had the smoking and selective power loss problems? Will this car be fitted with an EGR valve and could that be the problem?

If anyone could please help I would much appreciate it.
