Headlight problem

Featured Replies

Good evening hope you an help,

Mondeo MK3 2.0 TDCI 2004 model

Went on holiday in Weymouth last week and a small problem happened, My head lights just stopped working ?? My side lights still work,  full beam works, indicators work ect ect. I've checked all fused, all relays and stripped headlights down to do checks on bulbs and wiring and all seems to be as it should.

The fuse in the car has been checked and there is a live feed on the correct fuse and fuse is ok, but on inspection of the fuse box in engine bay the 2 fuses for headlights have no live feed? Yet the fuse in car has a live feed? The relay is clicking as it should when the switch is used but no live feed is being sent to the fuses to turn the lights on??

hope you can help and this makes senses

sounds like relay then , even if its clicking, have you tried swapping relay with another one the same. so fuse 16 and 18 dont have 12v

as the relay is clicking then the switch , feed to headlamp switch, fuse 95, and earth g104 should be ok, if you cant find a relay to swap, pull the relay out, find the 12v permant feed, then find the feed to the fuse 16(ohm meter between fuse and relay connector in fuse box. once you know which connector pin to use bridge the 12v with the feed to fuse16. thats going to bypass the relay .
