How do I remove this cigarette lighter?

    Is it a cigarette lighter or just a 12v supply, why do you want to remove it?

    It is actually a 12V point ( I don't smoke ), want to remove it because it is damaged(cover has broken off)

    I want to install instead a USB power socket

    Pry between the rim of the metal sleeve and plastic trim with wide blade screwdrivers and pop the socket out.

    There is a single 2 point connector on the socket that just pulls off.

    Centre terminal is live and outer terminal is earth.
