Parking Aid Always On -annoying!

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just bought a very nice 2007 Mondeo 1.8 Zetec. It has front and rear parking sensors, which I suspect may be after market additions? The problem I have is that the front sensor, which is vey loud, seems to be on all the time. If I drive past another car closely, it beeps at me. It is also quite irritating sitting in traffic to have it beeping all the time.

I can't see any buttons on the dashboard to switch it off, which would be ideal (which is why I think it is an after market fit?). I would even consider disabling the front sensor as I don't think it that essential.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Pete

Solved: on closer inspection, have found a little switch on the side of the foot well that switches the front sensors in and off!!
