Hi I have a 2003 mondeo.2.0tdci ive just scanned the car odb2 and theres 33 faults but no eml on. I changed the eml bulb and works as it should (comes on when ignition is turned and off while running) any ideas its running smooth no problems just seems a little on the drinking side of diesel .

I would not trust that lot for one moment!

Diesels did not have to be OBD2 compliant until about 2004. The scanner may be getting confused.

I would re-run the diagnostics using Forscan, which is known to work on pre-OBD2 Fords.

If there was a lot of comms errors, or obvious inter-module errors, I would say it was a CAN bus problem, but they are mostly basic engine errors. And some quite bad ones that would affect performance noticeably.

Also I would usually say that they might be old codes, and to clear them to see what re-appears. But I do not really advise that without 100% confidence in the scanner. And I have about 10% confidence in the scanner from that list!
