Radio not working

Featured Replies

Hi, my radio was working fine up to yesterday evening. What happens is when I press radio nothing happens and it’s stuck on AM. Pressed radio to change to DAB or FM and does not respond. When I change source to Phone, CD, or AUX it works but when I go back to Radio is stuck on AM.

I was wondering if this ever happened to any of you and if it’s an easy fix.

Thanks in advance.

ive had mine not working a few times .it just sorts itself out and works again the following day .very annoying .

It seems to happen more when you get a sudden temperature drop (especially when a bit damp as well).

Used to get it occasionally in my mk2 Focus.

Might be condensation on the circuit boards?

Sounds like it's a common problem then. I'll stick the heating on full for a few minutes and that might help. Thanks for replies!

I had this problem today, I could not shift from AM to any other frequency.  I could get the CD playing but the radio was not changing.  When I got in the car this afternoon I realised that the time had not been changed from when the clocks went back at the weekend.  I changed the time and hey presto the radio was working once again, so not sure if that was the problem or not.

That's just coincidence. There's no way the clock setting will affect the operation of the radio.
