Headlight Full Beam blowing fuses

Featured Replies

Hi All,

A few weeks ago the fuse blew for the full beams. I changed it and frustratingly it has just blown again. Any ideas on possible causes? Or do I just need to bulk buy fuses?

Car is a 2010 Mk4 Mondeo Titanium X Sport (2.2) with fancy auto-levelling headlights etc. Has anybody experienced anything similar?

Thanks.

Not sure how auto levelling works but is probably a motor, if the motor is stuck it will blow a fuse, is there anyway to disable auto levelling ??

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did consider that but I don't think so. The dipped beam still work fine. When you start up and the lights turn on you can see them move up down in the usual way.

I don't even know if they are xenon or halogen? How do I know?

Could it be duff ballast?

I dunno mate I was shooting in the dark ....excuse the irony.

Some of the more tech guys on here may be able to shed some light on it.......

Jesus's done it again!!!!😉😉😉
