Good evening members, forgive me this is my first post in a long time.

Having stopped for fuel last night, when I restarted the car both the rev-counter & the speedo whipped around to max rpm/speed then settled back to their normal readings. At the same time I noticed that the outside temperature reading had changed from degrees C to F & the trip meter had zeroed itself. These variations to the norm do not occur if the car is re-started almost immediately after shut down. Any ideas or alternatively can anyone point me to the location of the diagnostics port as I have a OBD 2 reader.
