mk4 Mondeo AVIC Install

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a mk4 Mondeo TitaniumX with the Converse SatNav. I want to replace this with a newer headunit, supporting DAB+ and Apple CarPlay. I've set my sights on the Pioneer AVIC units, and see they're compatible. I know I'll loose the in-dash display, and am ok with that. What I'm worried about is the climate controls. Today the Mono / Dual climate control is managed through the interface on the Ford HeadUnit, along with telling me what the temperature is set to in each zone. Has anyone else replaced their unit with something newer, and did your new HeadUnit support the Ford Climate controls, or did you have to downgrade the climate control unit to another Ford unit?

Any help would be really appreciated, especially if you know of a London based fitter who could help with the changes needed!

Chris
