Reversing Bulb Fitment

Featured Replies

I have a 2009 Mondeo Titanium X Sport and I want to change my reversing bulbs to the LED type as the standard bulbs are rubbish with very little light coming off them.

Can anyone tell me the fitment for these?

Ive looked on different bulb suppliers sites and they are giving different fitments!

I'm not sure if the exact figment sorry, I do have a little piece of advice though. Apologies if you have heard this before, if you are getting LED bulbs be sure to get a bulb with several chips round all sides. The reversing lamp uses the reflective housing to give a better light (it's still *****) and if you use an LED that is directional the light won't be as good. If you are going to use a CREE chip then a chip that faces forward is fine as they are much brighter, with CREE an output equivalent to 50W should be sufficient.

I believe they are 382's (also known as BA15S or P21W)
Best ones are the type with cree bulbs on the end and led's around the sides to utilise the lens reflectors.

Thanks Stoney, just ordered a set of those.

I had the exact same one in the reverse light on my Fabia Monte Carlos. It was excellent, I had the same ones but 80w as DRLs

If they are a good job, i'll get one for the wifes focus.

She has tinted windows and there is no visibility at all in the dark!
