RAIDER32
I was going to post a link to the a quarter of site but I was just beaten to it by Stoney, I've had that site in my bookmarks for years but I've never ordered anything, prices seem quite high these days lol. So many memories form those older sweets, I will treat myself one day to a jar of retro sweets.

jace1969
We have a shop very local to us that sells all stuff like this, only been in once and its a mix between modern and years ago. Loads of jars of sweets and the old chrome weighting scales no digital,i liked to have the mix stuff where you had a 10p or 20p mix and had stuff like the tangy cola bottles/normal bottle sweets/white mice/mojos/ and loads more, ours was in a glass counter with sections and you just picked the ones, school days and a Dentist nightmare. Half a pence sweets and a big bag for 10p,these days have gone.

iantt
i remember we had a local village shop keeper who came round door to door in a mk1 transit selling groceries etc, and had a special section just for jars of sweets and scales to weigh them . jace1969
Ok showing my age now lol. You could walk into a shop them days with 50p and have loads of sweets. I liked the skeleton heads white chocolate with like a red liquid in them (small ones 1p large ones 2p). Fizz bombs and also the MASSIVE gob stoppers where it was cold then went red hot and chewing gum in the middle.

Never heard it mentioned til I started working in the black country. As far as I understand it is just sherbet.
