Hi all,

i am new to this forum, but not fords.

before my current 2005 focus i had a C Reg Ford escort 1.6i Cabriolet, Metallic blue with a white roof.

it was the best car i ever had, simple to fix and drove like a beauty. I was 18 at the time and the insurance killed my finances so i had to sell her.

the new owner had it for about 48 hours and wrapped her around a tree. Id give anything to have that car back now.

I have had my focus for about 2 months and in that time i have had nothing but issues with it.

the cat was coming away from the exhaust, the middle rubbers and bracket had come off the exhaust (before i got the car) and this caused the cat to come away with all the knocking.

the front wishbone replaced and a few other bits which i cant remember at the moment.

the latest was a few weeks ago, the heating pipe coming into the car had a split the 'O' ring (the one just above the clutch pedal), so the foot well was drenched in water.

Luckily enough i am with the AA and they covered the cost of fixing it and all i had to pay was £35.

i am now hoping all goes well now as i am off to Ireland in a few weeks and i will be driving.

In any case thanks for reading and i hope to get to know some of you.

thanks

Scott
