Well tonight I am feeling pretty pleased with myself. I have fitted a reverse camera to my mkV which apparently Ford said couldn't be done! Well I managed to do it for less than £30 and it works like a charm. Comes on as soon as reverse is selected and shows on the screen of my Sync2. I did have someone giving me guidance via text but otherwise it was a solo effort. A fair amount of work but now it's done it is well worth it[emoji3] Anyone else done this?

    I haven't done yet, I will be doing that though. I've taken some pictures along the way. I have the hatchback but I do have some information about doing it on the estate as well. The only thing missing, as it isn't OEM are the the white lines that move with the direction of the steering wheel.

    I will be taking delivery of my Hatch in August and never added reversing camera so this would interest me.
    I assume the new Mondeo would be same setup as your one as in installation ?

    I have the sync2 unit in my Mondeo, as far as I am aware there is no difference in the installation if you have a sync3. I don't see any reason why the installation of the camera and wiring would be any different in your hatch, it is a PITA to do but well worth the effort. I'm pretty sure I made it more difficult than it needed to be haha

    Thanks. I'm sure it will be Grand soon. i should be used to it by now, this is the second time. Daughter doesn't understand why daddy can't play about with her or pick her up, that's the worst thing,meshes only just 1
