Fusion whooshing sound whilst accelarating

Hello all

 

My Fusion 1.6 petrol automatic has recently developed a "whooshing" sound upon acceleration. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so, what was the cause.

I'm due to book it in for a service next week and wanted an idea of what may be causing this sound, so I can get it sorted.

    If it's a wish then prob an air leak/gap Ina pipe. The whoosh is sir either being sucked in or pushed out of somewhere. I'd check all hoses.
