Featured Replies

Plugged my OBD reader in and got this code.

Looks like an issue with the oxygen sensor.

Anyone else had this issue?

i wonder if the oxygen sensor is covered by ford as your car is only few yrs old. think you`ll find it`s quite a common fault on most cars will all these sensors faults

*UPDATE*

Since my car is under warranty i didn't take any changes and got them to pick it up.

Few hours later i get a phone call and it's a faulty O2 sensor. Getting replaced but won't be ready until Monday, but i'm away so picking it up Thursday!

What a ball ache, but all fixed under warranty.

Annoying though!

quite common issue with the broadband sensor.

Seems a bit daft it's so common and not fixed 100%.

All sorted though for free under warranty, just a bit annoying.

Hi

I've bought a new car Focus Vignale 1.0 125

2021 plate been on the forecourt since July 21 105 miles on the clock

had it for a week and engine light comes on, faulty oxygen sensor, i've got to take it to the garage today. I'm gutted to say the least, i wouldn't expect this on a new car.

It might be a new car to you but to the dealer it's a used car and fortunately for you it's covered by warranty.

Components do often fail and its something to get used to and perhaps moreso on a Ford.

Understand, I've had many fords and never had any issues,  but it happens, i get it.

New censor was fitted, after a few days a new noise started, the noise sounds like a frog, car is back in the garage, they didn't know what was wrong with it but now saying it's the water pump making the noise, needs replacing, new part hopefully getting fitted in two days time, it's so frustrating.
