Hello from Ireland! Hi my name is Robert and I'm an aging car fanatic.. Recently picked up a 2011 Zetec-S whilst over in England and brought it back home on the ferry.

My motoring history has been entirely either Fords or Peugeots.. In historical order it's been like this; 

  • 1985 Peugeot 205 XE 1.0 (written off)
  • 1989 Ford Fiesta XR2 (written off)
  • 1986 Ford Fiesta XR2 (non runner, just for parts)
  • 1988 Ford Fiesta 1.0 (fitted with bodykit and dash from above)
  • 1988 Ford Fiesta XR2 (sold on)
  • 1991 Peugeot 206 GTi 1.6 (Sorrento Green, sold on)
  • 1997 Peugeot 306 D-Turbo (sold on)
  • 1999 Peugeot 306 GTi-6 (sold on)
  • 2002 Ford Focus LX 1.4 (still own)
  • 2011 Ford Focus Zetec-S 1.6 (new baby)

The GTi-6 went to numerous car shows over the years. I went with the guys'n'gals of the Pug Sport Club, so I'm familiar with that scene. 

Of course I'm a lot older now and living abroad.

    As this was my first post I'd thought that I'd like to keep this particular thread up to date with all my related issues thus far down the road of ownership.

    • Coolant entering engine oil - couple of coolant flushes, couple of oil changes and a oil cooler later [SOLVED]
    • Door seal weatherstrips coming away from door.
    • Mudflaps to fit Zetech-S [SOLVED] - RallyFlapz pricey at £100 and yet to be purchased/fitted.
