These are the led puddle lights, after searching on eBay I found some that are intended for a Lincoln car! They looked  the same as the one advertised for the Ford Edge but better value.

Here are the links from EBay along with a photograph of the original and the led replacement, Even though I ordered Lincoln light the came on a box marked up Mondeo 2015-

Have you got any before and after pictures of these bulbs fitted to your car ?

Were all these bulbs just plug and play replacements for the existing ones?

Does all the automatic light features still work?

Has fitting these bulbs generated any warnings on the dash?

Nice one thanks for that

Did you use the same bulbs for the daytime lights and the main beam lights ?

The bulbs are a straight forward replacement , just remove the old ones and .fit the new.

No warning light have come on indicating build failure, that's if the Edge has this feature!!

Thanks that is great.  I might just have to give this a go.

As reported in another thread I tried brighter halogen Main/DLR bulbs but I couldn't even get them to lock into place, did you encounter any issue like that?

Are these just one bulb to cover main beam and daylight running lights would love to change mine original lights are awful to be fair

Can you please tell me what bulb you used for the main beam

thanks

Please look at my earlier post for Bulb type and link to eBay

3rd post down clearly shows Main Beam/Daylight running lights complete with a link to ebay.

Yep- I'll give those a go.

Oh I see you use the same type of bulb for both main and daytime light

Yip, where as in the good old days you had one bulb that did main & dipped beam the Edge uses one bulb for main beam & DLR and a separate bulb for dipped beam.

Thank you

I can see from the previous posts that the side light look a similar connection but my main beam light has a connection like shown below so the previous links are different .. can someone explain please

thanks

mcfcjoe, Is that not your dipped beam light bulb you are showing ?

Ok so the day time running lights go to the dipped beam light and the one I am showing is the full beam .....is that correct ?

No.

The inner bulb of the headlight cluster is a combined main beam and DLR light.  The next one outboard is the dipped beam.  the light you showed in your picture is NOT the Main Beam/DLR bulb.

Look at the pictures in the second post in this thread and pay particular attention to the orientation of the 3 connections to help you identify the Main/DLR.

Thank you very much

Hi @Tanisla I'm considering getting the puddle lights, I have a 2015 Mondeo. They look exactly what I need so no questions about fitment or suitability etc, my only question is this; how are they holding up and do you think they have plenty of life in them?

Do the 100W LED's get significantly hotter than the standard halogens? I want to do the change, but am a little hesitant thinking that if the light housing cant take hotter bulbs, then its gonna cost big time at some point!
