Mondeo Mk4 Crack found in front footwell - needs help!

Featured Replies

Moved to Hong Kong and after crashing a Mk2 Focus now got a Mk4 Mondeo - but it's taking up a lot of work to get it back to former glory....

When searching for water ingress problem found a crack on the forward footwell near the door - and it's appearing on both sides. Anyone got any idea about this and any suggestion on what to do about this?

Thanks for any input..

Phil

Holy crap, is that crack in the steel?

I would remove all of the sealant where the crack is to see if the metal is cracked. If it isn't the prime it up and forget about it. But if it is then weld the crack up and weld a plate over the top to strengthen it.
