Fiesta 1.4 tdci 2008 DTC P0404 egr error.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm hoping for some advice with this problem.

I've bought a second hand fiesta and the second or third time Ive driven it up the engine warning light has come on.

I have plugged in the reader and it's showing the fault code p0404- exhaust gas recirculation control circuit range/performance.

After searching the net, apparently it's normally the egr. I have removed it and cleaned it, then removed the code but it has returned 😒.

I'm thinking the best thing to do now is replace the sensor...or maybe even blank off the egr...has anyone had this issue before or can offer me any advice?

Thanks in advance for any help or attempt to help!

Tom.

Did you buy it from a dealer within tthe past 30 days? If so you can take it back and get a full refund, or have the problem fixed for free.
