2014 Focus Bluetooth Audio Problem

Featured Replies

Hi

Two months ago bought a 2014 Focus 1.6 TDCI Titanium Navigator. I believe it has the Sync 1 system fitted. When I bought it I  I paired my phone (iPhone6s) to the car and everything worked fine. I could make and receive calls and listen to music via Bluetooth.

Yesterday however I was unable to play any music via Bluetooth. Whenever I tried to play music via Bluetooth I got a “Bluetooth Audio Error” message appear on the screen.   I could still make and receive calls with the audio coming through the car speakers but any music would not play. Nothing has changed with the phone and it affects both itunes and Amazon Music. I can still play music by connecting the phone via the USB port.

I’ve tried deleting my phone from the car and re-pairing it, restarting my phone and then doing a Sync Master Reset from the in car menu but nothing seems to work.

Looking on line it appears the problem is solved by disconnecting the battery for 30 mins. Can disconnecting the battery for 30 mins cause any problems and will I need a radio code when I reconnect it?

The original thread was created over 2 years ago. I'd like to think after that amount of time.e either the OP has fixed the issue or they don't care anymore ahah.
