Mondeo Diesel Cold Running Engine

Featured Replies

HELP....

I've got a MK3 diesel 130 Mondeo. The heater used to be lovely and hot, then suddenly one day the engine always runs cool. Mildly warm heater and temp gauge always showing on the lower side of the scale. I've had new thermostats fitted, and my mechanic has even tested them in hot water on a bench with a handheld thermostat, to which they opened correctly only in the hottest water. Local ford dealership says they have another customer just the same and have tried everything also, with no answer. This is not how the car used to be.

HELP....

check that the water pump is working correctly, I had same problem with my mk3 and my local Ford dealer was baffled. I had the car in at my local independant garage and they said it was likely to be waterpump. when they took the water pump off the drive splines had sheared .
