Focus newbie here

Featured Replies

Evening all,

I'm a new member to the site even though I have owned several Fords over the years and have been working in a Ford dealership for 20 years+ ( MK2 Mondeo estate Ghia 1.8 TDCi, MK3 Mondeo hatchback Zetec 2.0 TDCi, MK6 Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCi). Current ride is a 2007 Focus style estate 1.6 TDCi, had this one since May last year. First thing I did was de-style it, got rid of the "Style" badge, changed the 16" steel wheels with the fake looking alloy trims and replaced with the later Focus Zetec 17" alloys and 205/50R17 tyres. Also tinted all the rear windows, got some wind deflectors on, fitted a hands free kit, upgraded the bog standard audio unit to a sat' nav', fitted rear parking sensors and I'm currently on with hard wiring front and rear dash cameras direct into the fuse box. Still have a few jobs to do but I'll wait until the weather improves. Glad to be back in an estate where you can chuck everything in the boot and still be able to use the rear seats !. Really pleased with the Focus so far, plenty of room, fast enough for my needs, economical, comfortable etc. It ticks all the boxes.
