Hi all

How do i go about updating my sync 2 in the UK ?

I understand everywhere else gets to do it online but we UK plebs do not .

I'd be really interested in updating mine but obviously weary of anything going wrong . I have a 2015 titanium ecoboost 1.5 petrol.

Where do i obtain the latest sync 2 update ? I have the latest Ford SD Nav card F6 so would like to see if there are any updates for the sync 2 itself.

How do i find out what version i have and what is the latest version ?

    I have seen this post but i thought id come across an even newer update 

    It file name is    Gen2v310build16180updatepackageEULangpack5 ... im guessing buy the numbers 15128 and 16180  that 16180 is something even newer ?

    The latest updates were published about 12 months ago mid February in the thread. It is 3.10. I updated successfully last year but had to update my sat nav card first.

    I take it you have a Mk5, good choice ;)
    Are you on Facebook? If so it’s worth joining the Mk5 page, there is a guide on there for updating Sync2, it’s a really active page and one of the best ones I’ve been on. If you want the link then let me know.

    I put up a question on there 2 or 3 days ago .... as of yet theres been no reply lol .

    Juat take the 2 files inside the share folder and copy directly to a memory stick formatted to exfat or NTFS.
    No need to unpack any zip files etc.
    Make sure all other usb sticks and SD cards are unplugged or the update won't run.
    Update may take up to 30 minutes for which the car must be powered up so I suggest a nice drive or a monitored idle in a ventilated location like a driveway.
    At one point the update may appear to stall but let it run and it will complete just fine.

    Just doing mine now. It stalled on installing update 3 of 16 for like 15 minutes but it's all done now [emoji106][emoji106]
