Tyre size change?

Featured Replies

Hi all. I've got 195,55,16 tyres on ford alloys (Fusion plus 1.6 tdci, 2009). My question is can I change these for 205,55,16's on the same wheels? TIA for any advice.

Martin.

Probably, though the correct size is cheaper.

@seamo44 205/55/16 may rub on full lock front end as l found out on my essy MK6 205/50/16 are ok thoe but then it depends if you're hub sticks out that slightly more than mine as it was only just like 2-3 mm

Thanks for the info/replies. I was offered a pair of 205's for next to nothing, compared to new, already sold now, so all rather academic.
