Problems when hot Transit MK6

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have a transit MK6 2.4 diesel. It starts first time every time (hot or cold) but when it gets up to temperature it will not rev past 1500 and gives off lot of grey smoke at back. It revs perfectly fine until reaching @ 85-90 degrees.

I have done up to now:

changed EGR valve, which was being reported as a fault.

checked all vacuum and inter cooler pipes.

Checked inlet manifold for damage

Had injectors checked

Replaced head temperature sensor

No faults are showing on for IDS software, but i still can't find the root of this problem.

Any suggestions guys please ??. Really need to get this sorted rather than keep spending money on parts that are not needed.

Appreciate any help or useful suggestions.

Thx all

Andy
