When you guys use FORScan, do you use the mobile app or connect using a laptop?

I am going to download the software, but can't decide whether I should buy the £4.99 FORScan iOS app.

I use a laptop but would prefer a mobile app, laptop isn't exactly convenient if you need to read codes way from home and makes live data driving a bit awkward.

Lap top here and use a long usb cable when doing live data, I tried a wireless elm but found it unreliable.

I like the mobile app, but it's not possible to do any programming witin the app, then you have to use the laptop anyway.

I use a Win8.1 HP Stream Tablet and a Bluetooth ELM, used to use a laptop but the tablet is more mobile and also can keep it powered up from the car.

My laptop battery doesn't last long as it's an MSI gaming rig and is very battery hungry.

I'd rather not have my laptop powering off midway through a asbuilt rewrite.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna use my laptop for now.

@Stoney871 I have an old Amazon Fire tablet that I have been meaning to do something with. I might try to put a version of Windows on it, cos that does seem easier than using a laptop.
