Must take a while to cook on the radiator though... Pretty sure that was in a Fast Ford calendar I had a few years ago! I can't imagine spending so much above the cars value either though, I just don't understand it tbh. But having said that, I do like seeing other peoples show cars!3 points

Hi, So after a break from not having a car I decided to get another project to tinker with. So i picked up a St2. Already done a few little bits like short aerial, Autobeam lights, badges, mp215 upgrade and headlight brows. Then today I’ve spent all day with the car up, bumper off doing all the mountune pipe upgrades that they currently have in stock. Also installed the roll restrictor and symposer delete. Next is wheels and suspension! Have the wheels ready just waiting on delivery of the suspension.2 points

It only becomes written off if the repair cost is something like 60% or more of the value. I understand your frustration about having to wait for glass, this can often happen with newer models as all stock is destined for the factory. I had to wait 3-4 months for a headlight, although thankfully it was still functional in that time - so yours should hopefully be given higher priority. While I sympathise, I don't see how it's the car's or Ford's fault someone smashed your window. Your insurance should be sorting you with a courtesty while you wait for the repair though?2 points

My Mk4 Focus got broken in to, and needs a new rear door window glass, it is only available from Ford (tinted) and apparently ford don't have any to supply it to the glass company (4 weeks wait so far) At what point is the unrepairable car a write off due to a single piece of glass I will NEVER have a Ford again, rather crawl to work on burning coals, I ***** hate the thing, #worstecarever1 point

Only have one as I heard two males can start becoming aggressive to each other. Hard to tell its gender until they mature. Not really happy with the catfish as they are always in hiding and makes feeding a pain1 point

Lovely colours, do the pleco chase each other or go around together; I had a cat fish there very hardy; used to feed him specific cat fish pellets,1 point

Watching news nowadays, makes me feel down. Incompetent people at work and extremely cold weather.1 point

It might not be the plugs themselvesthen, the relay or wiring might be faulty, you'd have to check if they're getting power.1 point

Saw a 69 plate BMW i3 yesterday, could’ve been a press car though as BMW UK HQ is just up the road from me. Haven’t seen any others yet.1 point

I really like this fiesta ST. One of a kind with a body kit and supercharger with various engine mods with 330hp stated. Was on the fast ford mags. I'd say that's still a bit of money to spend on a mk6 ST. Don't know with myself if I'd ever want to spend £30k on mods unless I want to keep the car for a long time.1 point

if your looking for the leds with the built in chip as mentioned by Bash look for ones that say canbus, the canbus system on newer cars doesn't like plain leds as they draw less power so the car thinks a bulb has gone and you get the bulb fail warning, the chip makes the led look like a bulb to make the car think its halogen thus no warning/error messages/lights, this is more evident with indicator leds and the indicator will blink faster with a blown bulb or stock led *edit* i have found the auxito leds from ebay to be quite good quality and the some of the 501 type ones are just a tad smaller than the original 501 bulb so they fit better in side lights and interior lights than the big blocky ones1 point

It will also be a newer spec engine with extra sensors, extra pump, etc which weren't fitted to the early ones.1 point

Wow, you've been super unlucky. Although there have been a few posts about minor bits and bobs such as door (card) rattles and the software issue with the new petrol particulate filter, I don't remember seeing any posts (until now) where it's been a long list of significant items. Fingers crossed your luck changes for the better gonig forward!1 point

Set the date on 31-12-2009 and the time on 23:59. Wait just 1 minute and you will be able to set the date to the current date.1 point

So are you saying prior to the "break in" you had lots of issues with the car or are you just venting because of the overly long wait time for a new piece of factory tinted glass?1 point

Meguiars Endurance Gel is the only one I've found that lasts. It's about the same price though.1 point

I'm the same never had it before and now rely on it more than I thought - same goes for parking sensors. I'd take it back to dealers for warranty work, maybe it's a sensor/software?1 point
