At long last, 2 and a half years later than planned and 3 attempts later...I have now passed my Officer Of the Watch Oral Exam!! To say I'm relieved, happy, and somewhat exhausted is an understatement!!5 points

Take your contract in tomorrow and ask the manager to show you where it states you need to give 1 months notice, because it doesn't!!4 points

I do like that I finally signed my contract was expected to start on Thursday but now I start on Wednesday so extra day of pay for me. Good stuff Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk4 points

Agree with everyone, that's a weeks notice. If Vauxhall garages stipulated all staff had to drive a Vauxhall: every garage would largely devoid of staff apart the odd misguided Corsa owning apprentice. When Brandy and I walk besides the river, alongside the Wimborne Vauxhall dealership, judging by the staff parking area, BMW, Ford and VW are the chosen staff brands.3 points

By driving, I'd imagine... They can't put it in your contract that you must own a Vauxhall. Well, they could, but given that the mechanics know how bad the cars are, they know that none of them would acquiesce!2 points

Your right. It is one week notice. Also unless you need their reference or something you can just bounce Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk2 points

Collected the Gloss Black center console, door trim and 6sp focus gear knob and found out the ST's arriving tomorrow 😆😆 Watch this space of piccies2 points

I love Christmas and looking forward to Santa's arrival on the day as kids are very excited but I'm working tonight and he was there all weekend scratching himself; could have done all the hammering then rather than when I was asleep 🙍2 points

I do like that Brandy didn't seem to mind, not having a chicken for her tea and had yet another bowl of fresh tripe with another piece cow femur, exactly the same as she had for breakfast. You can always pop in on your way back for a cuppa, a mince pie and a stroke of Brandy2 points

I'm up your way at the weekend. Visiting the SB lads in Poole for a training exercise. Should be fun. Sent from my SM-G930F2 points

If the engines are exactly the same code then it will be a straight swap, easy enough really.2 points

Update time, bit overdue lol. originally I was going to buy this car at the end of the options plan but decided to get another one and mod it from the start and keep this one. Pretty much all the parts have been swapped over. Lowering springs need fitting, really miss these, even with the 2016 suspension revisions I still prefer the ride on the Mountune springs. Took adavatage of Mountune Xmas offers and bought the sportscat and Mtune with mr230 map, bottled buying the bigger cooler and rear hard pipe, will get them after Xmas. Only difference between the 2 cars spec is this has the rear camera. Not taken many pics, these are some I found from the Goodwood hot hatch Sunday a few weeks ago. These are from having it detailed (SL Restorations )and the front end covered in paint protection film (race by design) it's been coated in Gtechniq crystal serum, G1 on the glass and C5 on the wheels, exhaust and callipers. Really impressed with the crystal serum, the car stays cleaner longer, is easier to clear and there's no swirls or other fine scratches. Had the Xpel film also applied to the end of the skirts near the rear wheel and on the boot lip, around the front foglights they fitted some Matt black vinyl. finally fitted the Mountune spoiler extensions, had thought about selling as they are rare now but I do like them. Although I do like the other trim in gloss black I couldn't be bothered doing it on this one, it's a pia when it chips. Front and side splitters will go on soon. not the best pics but I've not taken many atall Sent a couple of bits off to paintmodz and got this lot back So far I've fitted the fusebox lid, airbox lid, airbox snorkel, battery top cover, battery front cover, bonnet latch bracket, header tank cover, will take the bumper off again to fit the slam panel and eyebrows when I either get a Mountune stencil for the cooler or get the bigger cooler. you can also see the Mountune coolant hoses. had the sat nav screen painted gloss black to go with the headunit, airbag light panel, centre console, side vents and door handles, need to find a steering wheel trim to finish it off. MR230 gel inlay to.2 points

It doesn't matter as long as it's all pushed together tight. You don't lose security really as it still needs either the key, or the grill yanked off and a large screwdriver. Besides doesn't everyone steal cars through OBD now anyway, who's pulling grills off!?1 point

They look great bud! - Midnight Sky Metallic, best colour too :p I wondered what gun metal would look like with this colour, now i know so i might end up doing the same thing!1 point

A lot of people faced with this persistent design flaw, upgrade the the little white cross piece with this, having had it fail at the most inconvenient of times/or places once too often. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-FORD-Focus-C-Max-2004-2011-Bonnet-Lock-Catch-Cable-Clip-UPGRADE-PART/252245489448?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3Db6ce97ab4720414589174bcf4362083f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D162001866882 However, in doing so, you've effectively removed the anti-tamper part of it.1 point

As above, it won't actually matter. They seem to break a lot so quite a few are missing these days. I doubt you'd notice any real world difference on a 1.25 tbh, just a bit more induction noise lol.1 point

I don't like discovering my current Xerox printer can't handle cardstock any heavier than 216gsm My previous Tektronix, HP and Epson could all do 250-300gms from their manual load trays. If anything the paper path on the HP was lot more curvy than the Xerox, with quite a tight U bend between the image drum and the fuser Added to which no-one makes 216gsm cardstock, or I can't find anyone who does: so I've got to drop down to a flimsier 200gsm1 point

Pop into you local Ford dealership parts department with your pic. They will be able to get it up on the computer and give you the correct part number. Either buy it from them if its cheap enough or take the part number and look online. You need it because its the cold air feed for your air filter, without it the car is sucking in all the hot air from the engine bay and it will not perform as well as it should.1 point

In my experience this should be much smoother, without Forscan I am unable to tell that a regen is happening. The only clue I get is when the engine fan is running after turning off the ignition.1 point

Actually no after about a month this went back down to the 1000 - 2000 km range.. I don't monitor this as much but it's currently at around 1400 km and counting up. I guess this proves that it's not just a simple counter and is in fact based on some sensor readings.1 point

Tell them you have just sold your lambo as it was too much of a 😻 magnet and your now looking for somthing a bit more subtle while still impressing all of your mates on the Dyno 😉1 point

I do like taking Brandy for her extended Sunday walk this morning in bright sunshine and remarkable warmth for early December, it was 17°C on the garage wall! Although as we emerged from Delph Woods, to descend towards Wimborne, we entered a surreal landscape with dense low lying fog at dog level and bright clear sunshine above. Until 9:30am, you couldn't actually see where the river edge was, or indeed where your dog was (spaniel sized and below), unless they bounced upwards and out of the fog For Brandy it must have been like walking through a cloud, I don't think dogs have the infrared spectrum available to them like cats and birds do. It had all vapourised by the time we got Sturminster Marshall, and quite suddenly too. The feisty bear is demonstrating the facial expression of when you discover the gift of a car for Xmas from your nearest and dearest: is in fact a Corsa1 point
