  2. Back in the day we could just stick the disc in and play games...none of this installing, followed by hours of downloads...then more hours of downloads every fortnight, progress eh! My broadband is fairly slow at like 2MB download, so it literally takes the whole day to download Call Of Duty updates lol. Often the Xbox shuts of halfway as well...I guess it's to save power but you'd think downloading would override that! Not sure Dishonoured would be my sort of game, I prefer more 'realistic' games like CoD and Assassins creed, not a fan of Sci-Fi stuff tbh. £20 is a good price though, was that from ebay or something like CD Keys? Be careful with sugar free sweets btw...most have warnings on the back, the artificial sweetener used is a laxative so don't eat too many!!

  5. I have re-processed the data to remove the +159 to -159 jump, by adding 318 to all negative readings. Then the graph looks a lot more sensible. I can't output the modified graph or modified data at present. There are two possibilities I have thought about: A Forscan programme error: PIDs are stored in a binary form in the car, and in some conventions, the MSB is used as a sign bit (2s complement arithmetic), in other conventions the MSB is normal. So in 8 bit binary, 127 is hex 7F, 128 is Hex 80. Hex 80 can be interpreted as 128 or as -128, depending on the convention used. Scaling factors can change this switch point to any value. A sensor error: Some change in the operation of the sensor, like if it was a pot, a shift of the wiper arm to go through the track ends. In favour of the sensor error, at each +/- transition, there is a ramp of about 10 readings. I can not see why Forscan would introduce this. If the error was in the sensor, there is very likely to be some noise filtering where the signal goes into the PCM, before it is digitised, which will convert any sudden change into a ramp.

  6. Having seen Mat Watson's review of the new Focus I have to say ... I like it! Despite my previous rather disparaging comments.

  8. I bought the games from ShopTo, was selling both games for £10 each plus they give free 1st class delivery and dispatch it same day before you order before 6pm. Yesterday I put the PS4 into rest mode and after about 15 minutes I turned it on again to check the progress. It went from 2.608MB to 3.208MB which was a big jump in that short time. Just checked again now in the morning and it's finished downloading. Have actually started playing call of duty black ops zombies again. Forgot how fun that was. Will play some zombies during the day then play dishonored 2 in the evening. Don't want to finish it so quickly. I think you should look at other genre games, I used to be the same wanting realistic games but I did like games like ratchet and clank and dishonored so thought what's the point. With your xbox you can check the power save option to see if there's an option there to keep it on for a certain amount of time when it notices nothing is happening. Lol I don't really have sweets all the time. The stuff I hear about sugar in my degree makes me think about it. My dad is diabetic so both it to treat himself though like you said the laxatives

  9. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/content/advice/how-does-the-consumer-rights-act-protect-you-when-you-buy-a-car Useful bit of legislation in case anyone else goes to Evans Halfhsaw and has issues in the future. But the gist of it is that if you buy from a dealer and it's not fit for use or not safe you can reject the car within the first 30 days for a full refund. I've been on to the complaints team this morning. They've taken the complaint on board and they're sorting it all now hopefully. The way I look at it is that if a car has issues on day 1 then it's not worth bothering with. That's why I went to a higher priced dealer rather than a car yard, to get piece of mind.

  10. I really do not think the vanes can actually be moving like that. No sign of it on MAP, MAF or EGR. The EGR is probably controlled by measuring the difference between MAF flowrate, and a flowrate calculated from RPM and MAP and intake air temp. The latter is the engine air flow, including EGR flow, the MAF flow is net air in, not including EGR flow, so the difference is EGR flow, which will be controlled to a target value. Hence EGR position is an amplified, and rather noisy, combination of MAP & MAF. If it is caused by mad variations in the boost solenoid, then for some reason it does not seem to be having much effect on the vanes. Or maybe the vanes are flicking off-on so quickly the turbine has no chance to respond and spool up, so no effect on MAF. Repeating the vacuum pump test on the actuator while looking at the vane position reading with Forscan might narrow it down a bit. The reading should work in Key on / Engine off situation,

  13. Your right zain, most sensible people do switch their main lights on. Unfortunately there are a few who aren't paying attention and forget to switch them on. Just last night I was driving through a city at about 1am and saw 2 cars running with just the DLR lights. Its only a matter of time before a serious accident is cause by this lack of attention. Hopefully I'm proved wrong.

  15. I dont have an android so I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong, but i think he needs to download Android Auto from the play store, then just plug it in to the car. If it doesnt load, check the settings. Should be a button for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay preferences and just turn it on.

  16. That's interesting! Can you show how and where you placed the sound proofing material? That might be a solution if it returns.. For the panoramic roof I have some progress as well: it seems that the rubber seals dry out pretty quickly and then start to squeak. This is quite common also on other brands, so a lot of info was available on how to fix this. I purchased some rubber grease which should fix this, so let's hope this brings a solution there.
