Mk 7.5 Centre Console In A Mk 7?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone knows if the MK 7.5 centre console (part with handbrake surround, illuminated cup holders and armrest) would fit in a 7? Ta

From looking at pictures it depends on if the join is the same between the front section that goes further under the dash, and where the gear stick is. Really need to see the two parts together really, the handbrake will be in the same place and it will fit in the space so it's just how it joins up to the rest of the dash and will it look right.

Yeah that's what I thought. I cannot imagine the fixing mounts being in different positions, but as you say, the rest of the console may be different.

This is the facelift version (obviously without armrest)

Well, I've ordered a new centre console (includes arm rest, rear panel and illuminated cup holders) in charcoal black from Ford. It looks like it will fit without too many issues. I've also ordered the revised rear mounting bracket. The only thing that concerns me is the colour difference. My interior is Syracus so there will be an obvious difference. Am hoping it will look ok as it's a complete unit rather than bit-parts which is different. Wonder if I can get some paint made up and spray the new part to match? Anyone know?

Parts so far, just waiting for the revised bracket nowpost-55595-140932173569_thumb.jpgpost-55595-140932174899_thumb.jpg

Looks good. I doubt you will notice the colour match once it's in.

I hope you are right, but the two different colours do meet up directly by each other. I found a company that can colour match acrylic spray-paints if need be.

Nice. Do you have the part numbers?

the main console is 1848656 (about £250) and the additional panel for the 12v and audio/USB is 1810057 (about £55). Both of these are obviously from the 2013 Fiesta and their colours are Charcoal Black. Hope that helps :)

Thanks :)

How come you are after one with your car?

Because my Fiesta is a 2014 Trend+, so it has not a armrest. Its only in the Titanium and the Sport and ST version.

In Denmark :)

Quick update: had paint matched so sprayed the whole thing only to find that once it was installed it was quite different to my existing trim (mine being a blue-grey-black and the paint just black pretty much). Anyway I've taken it out and bought another console so will sell the new painted one!! Will also get the paint remixed and try again! Round two... post-55595-141079223591_thumb.jpg

Fella,

How was it taking out the old centre console, and fitting the new one? I know this thread is a few months old, but just wanted some feedback.

As 1 hinge of my arm rest lid has broken, meaning the arm rest lid is a bit flapping (something minor, but annoying the hell out of me... plus Ford won't replace it under warranty). I'm looking to source a replacement centre console, and replace my existing one. Last week I had a section off the centre console off, and I fitted a subwoofer (see attached). I'm guessing there was be 3 pieces holding it all in place (the sides x2, highlighted in photo, and the main console)

Hey. It was dead easy...pretty much plug and play old to new. Will be even easier for you as you are simply replacing rather than swapping old for new.

Is that what you mean, or are asking? Let me know if I haven't helped one bit :D

Thanks.

How long does it take the remove? Not that long I presume?

Literally minutes :)
