Major Annoyance With Brakes

Featured Replies

I had my brake pads changed in December and started getting weird squeals when i reverse and park on a small slope, They also seem to creak as well even when i turn the wheel a little bit while having the brakes pressed to the floor. I went to Ford only for them to first tell me they couldn't duplicate the problem, so i sent them out again. They did see a creek on a joint so they wd 40 it. It made no difference what so ever.... Took it for a car wash and it stopped doing the majority of noises apart from a high pitched squeal in reverse. I'm going to assume the creaking will return tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea's what the hell they could of done by just changing the pads? Convincing them is annoying because i know it'll start tomorrow. Any idea's?

Is there a lip on the disc at all?

Could you explain on what you mean lip on disc? sorry. From what i can see without the wheel off they look smooth and if i remember rightly a little rusted before the brakes were changed so i'd assume they must of had the discs off.

I mean, is the surface level all the way across? No grooves or bulges? Do the outer edges stick out at all?

So here are today's top testing. Worse on an angle and seems to be coming from drivers side. Happens louder because i reverse on a slight slope. But only started after they chanced the brake pad! First brake pad change at that and it never did this before that. Ford from my video still believe it to be a suspension issue or mount. I recorded both sides but the noise could be carrying across to the passenger side.

i am slowly pressing the brake pedal when these noises occur. it's not dabbing on the brake hard. just light braking to the floor.
