looks good.

got mine done now and started a dairy of what I have done.

Nice one Barry, ill have a look for your thread now mate,

Love the new pics mate.

all youve managed to do is convince me to buy 18" alloys, lowering springs, mud flaps and the LED tail lights... Thanks Lenny.. Thanks.. Thanks for making my wallet lighter than it already is!!

Sorry Dave mate,

I should give up on RedBull and car modification perhaps take up drinking or smoking,

Atleast with one of those obcessions; id have a step by step programme to get me off,

Sadly no cure yet for RedBull or car modification.

Its a "Blind faith"

Some say "a cruel waste"

But its always giving me that "sweet sensation"

Thanks guys,

Finally got a bit of time and good weather to re-paint the brake drums with Hammerite Smooth finish silver,

Last painted them in October 2010 lasted well until now but the paint was a bit faded and rust in spots due to road salt etc.

I sand them down and washed with Petrol . No water

Then give them 20 minutes to dry before masking up and brushing on the hammerite,

After painting, I give each side 40 minutes to dry prior to removing the masking tape and returning the wheel.

Sanding them was like a scratch Card lol all the silver rolling up and flaking,

Here is how it went:

Lenny the ride is real nice. Real peed off for you about that rip off twats, i would have blown a gasket and smashed something up in that garage mate seriously, getting ripped off makes my blood boils (RAWWWRRR **Foams at the mouth), there is certainly no need to try and scam people utter scums. Good practice to always insist on watching the work being done.

If i were you mate i would put it in writing to make it legal reminding them of unsolicited sales and service act 1971, it is illegal to sell someone something without their approval or even attempting to do so without the person in question initiating any needs for such unsolicited services or sale. I would highly suggest you put this in writing dude and demand your money back.

Two things i hate more in this world than scums, a nob blocker and a warm beer.

Your tint looks bang tidy, sweet ride.

I got a letter friday from parcel force about the DRL's, customs charges that parcel force are putting on me! £15 worth of tax's and clearance fee, not impressed about this, i don't remember seeing info on ebay about this charge i will double check the fine details on ebay though. Did you pay any customs tax fees on your DRL's?

EDIT: Accidently reported my own post to the admins :- /

Yes it came back after sending the report lol

Very happy with the results on these,

Just the side stripes to get fitted now, going to call the fitting company tomorrow to arrange a time/date to have them fitted.

Thanks Foca,

Looking forward to it, and the begining of my modification holiday until november.

Here is a preview of the graphite grey stripes to match the rear diffuser colour.

looking good lenny.

Not tempted to fit them yourself mate??

If you were closer I'd come do it for you... One of my various beer money jobs in the past was a vinyl fitter! Lol

Sadly never got to do full wrapping as that's where the money's at!

Thanks Dave,

I'll pay for you to get the ferry to rosslare where I'll collect you and supply you with drink lol

Its too much risk for me, so close to fordfair,

Took almost 2 weeks to arrive from DMB due to bank holiday weekend etc.

So if I was to mess it up, then I haven't got leed time to get a replacement in time for 02nd June

I'm prepared to pay enough beer vouchers to get you mouldey ;) just to see it rite.

The guy who fitted the tint www.atint.ie

Has a brother-in-law who owns a company that does car wrapping, vans, trucks, shop fronts, signs etc.

So I'll phone them today,

The job I require them to do is small compared to what they do on day to day but they are very experienced.

Update:

QR Code decals arrived today from funky Monkey Creations.

Email: [email protected]

I've used RedLaser App to check it and works perfectly,

They supplied one in black&white for the front window

And

One in white for the rear window, as the tint will be the black sections ;)

This will link people who scan; to this build thread

Thanks guy's

Took daves advice and showed the missus a few YouTube videos on stripe fitting,

Then we give it a go.

Passenger side rear door didn't line up for me 100% so I'll order another passenger side strip but the rest was lucky and went on 100% I'm absolutly delighted with the results.

Very smart indeed Lenny !!!!!

That is just Unlucky about the passenger side, but practise makes perfect !!!

even with the misalignment, it still looked sweet as a nut!

by the way, I still hate you for giving me all these idea's that I cant afford ;)

damn thats sexy!

Well done lenny!

Code works brilliantly, and the vinyl looks good!

You tried gently heating with a hairdryer to gently pull it off? Of course if your not comfortable with it then dont as you could stretch the vinyl!

To be fair it sounds like your doing the right thing by reordering the vinyl.
